April 10th... A Special Thank You From Jeremy...

"To all the lovely people who took the time and trouble to send those birthday cards and messages.....

Truly, it came as a huge surprise when an enormous box arrived from Jason, filled with an astonishing amount of cards. Some names I recognised, others I daresay I will get to meet and thank in person on the next tour in the fall.

You see, when Chad & I finish our dates, pack away the guitars and return to what might be called Real Life, I go back to another country and another persona where the world of Chad & Jeremy is only known to a few students of the 1960's who very occasionally pitch up at a stage door with an album or two. And that's it, until the next tour when suddenly it's back to "and Jeremy " again. The result is that I tend to forget that there are lovely people like your good selves who care enough to think of me and my Big Day. It is all very amazing and humbling to know that a chap has so many friends in faraway places.

So, thanks for thinking and - by the way - it was a terrific birthday here. Actually, more like a birthweek, as it went on and on as friends & family used the whole business as an excuse to have yet more fun. Which we duly did.

So, till the autumn, when I shall no doubt see some of you....

Looking forward to it all,
Love & thanks,
Jeremy.

March 20th... Happy Birthday Jeremy...

This Friday, March 22nd, Jeremy turns 72. We'd like to thank everyone for the cards and birthday wishes which have been sent to him, and share another picture from the Clyde Family Album. Here's Jeremy listening very attentively to something or other circa 1942.

This picture is the eleventh of fifty photos in the '50 For 50' series. '50 For 50' is a special photo retrospective we've launched on our social media sites this year to celebrate fifty years since the release of C&J's first record in 1963.

Every Wednesday you can see a new picture celebrating the anniversary on C&J's Facebook, tumblr, or twitter pages.

March 1st... Birthday Cards For Jeremy...

Jeremy has a birthday coming up on the 22nd of March. We've been asked where you can send your cards to Jeremy, so we're going to gather your cards up and send Jeremy a care package of birthday wishes. If you would like to send a card, you can mail it to the following address:

Jeremy Clyde
c/o F. Jason Rhoden
13513 Greentree Dr.
Tampa, FL. 33613

Please get your cards in by March 15th, so that they can be airmailed to Jeremy in London in time for his birthday. Thanks!

February 6th... 50 For 50 - A Reminder...

We're a tenth of the way finished with the special photo retrospective we've launched on the social media sites this year to celebrate fifty years since the release of C&J's first record in 1963.

Every Wednesday you can see a new picture celebrating the anniversary on C&J's Facebook, tumblr, or twitter pages.

We hope you enjoy it.

February 6th... Listen Again To Jeremy Clyde...

Jeremy features in a couple of shows that were rebroadcast on BBC Radio 4 Extra over the weekend, and which can still be heard over the internet via the 'listen again' feature during this week.

Firstly, the most recent episode of Alexander Armstrong's Radio Heroes featured the Raffles episode "A Trap To Catch A Cracksman" amongst its three hours of fun. It can be heard here until Saturday.

Secondly, Jeremy has a role in "The Sound Of Fury" - about British rock star Billy Fury. It can he heard here until Sunday.

January 29th... The Ark In The Guardian Newspaper...

Today (a mere 45 years after its release) Chad & Jeremy's final 1960s album - The Ark - is reviewed in The Guardian newspaper in the UK as part of a series on hidden musical treasures. Author Alex Petridis offers a distinctly British and pro-psychedelic perspective on C&J's music - quite different from anything you will read elsewhere.

You can read the review here.

January 9th... Two New Ways To Connect With C&J...

We're starting the new year with a few new ways to share with you. There is now an official C&J twitter feed - look for it at @ChadAndJeremy - and for those of you on the Tumblr blogging site, we now have a page on it - officialchadandjeremy.tumblr.com

Meanwhile on Facebook (and Tumblr, and Twitter for that matter), we've started a new photo series called "50 For 50", celebrating fifty years since the release of the first C&J record in 1963. Every Wednesday we'll upload something new.

January 4th... Chad's New Year's Message...

All my best wishes to all the good people I've met on the road over the years. My new year's resolution is to measure up to Ann Curry's challenge and perform as many acts of kindness as I possibly can, to honor the memory of the children and teachers at Sandy Hook. I'm sure you're all going to do the same. When we tour again this Spring, I hope we can include some fund raisers. I'm lucky enough to get paid for singing, playing and making people laugh, so the very least I can do is help to raise money for good causes.

One more thing. Let's all deluge our senators and congressmen with letters and e-mails and shame them into actually doing something about assault weapons. Hunters don't use them. Target shooters don't use them. If people have the overwhelming urge to fire umpteen rounds a minute, then perhaps they should join a gun club and shoot the thing in the relative safety of a firing range. It's time for a serious national debate about the second amendment and what it really means/ It was not designed for assault weapons, that's for sure.

All the best,
Chad Stuart

"Congratulations on your SAG award! Our appearance on the Dick Van Dyke Show was a huge milestone in our all too short career. Thank you for being such a gracious host and a world class mentor to two greenhorns who weren?t too sure of what they were doing. Congratulations again. This award is richly deserved. - Chad Stuart"

"Congratulations, Dick, if you will excuse the familiarity. You see, we haven't met since 1965, but I shall never forget your kindness and the fun we had when Chad & I guested as The Redcoats on your show. Do you remember the chaos when Don Rickles visited the set and we all hid? Congratulations again on this much deserved honour. - Jeremy Clyde"

Dick Van Dyke will receive this honor in January. Chad & Jeremy will tour the USA this October.

Pete Fornatale, a pioneer of FM rock radio, and the presenter of "Mixed Bag" on WFUV, where Chad & Jeremy performed in 2008, passed away last week. Chad wants to add his condolences on Pete's early passing.

"I was saddened to hear of Pete's passing. He was a gentleman and a pleasure to work with. When Jeremy and I performed on his radio show it was obvious that he knew his stuff. He made us feel comfortable which is crucial if you want to get the best from your guests."

"He didn't rely on that old school, over the top kind of DJ behavior. He's widely credited with pioneering the more relaxed and thoughtful style of playing recorded music on air and I thank him for that."

"He left us too soon. He'll be sorely missed."

You can read Pete Fornatale's obituary on the New York Times website.

Chad Stuart and Terry Sylvester recreate the magic of Chad & Jeremy and the Hollies in this never-before concert event featuring two British Invasion legends.

Chad Stuart is one half of Chad & Jeremy, the duo who recorded nearly a dozen hit records during the 1960s and appeared on hit television programs such as "Batman" and "The Dick Van Dyke Show". Chad wrote several of C&J's most memorable tracks, including "Yesterday's Gone" and the enduring classic "A Summer Song". Chad & Jeremy have enjoyed a touring and recording renaissance during the 2000s, enabling a new generation to discover and enjoy their timeless sound.

Terry Sylvester once plied his trade at the famous Cavern Club, playing alongside The Beatles and other Liverpool legends as a member of the Swingin' Blue Jeans. In the late 1960s he joined The Hollies, where he played a vital role some of their greatest successes, chalking up hits with discs like "Long Cool Woman In A Black Dress" and "He's Not Heavy, He's My Brother". Terry was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame in 2010.

August 29th... Three Days In May News Roundup...

The British play that Jeremy is currently starring in - 'Three Days in May' - has finished its run at the Windsor Theatre and now moves to the Richmond Theatre. For ticket details visit this site.

Reviews for the play's run at the Windsor have been excellent. The Staines News said: "This proved to be live theatre at its best ? gripping, emotional, brilliantly acted and with minute attention to historical detail ?and made all the more poignant for the audience by the fact that, at the back of our minds, we were only too aware that the drama being played out in front of us was based on real-life events that ultimately saved Britain?s freedom."

Here is what the Maidenhead Advertiser had to say: "Three Days in May totally enthrals, so much so that you can?t believe it runs for around two hours. A member of the audience remarked to a friend 'That just whizzed by didn?t it?'. Make sure ?Three Days in May? doesn?t whiz by before you?ve had time to catch it."
