September 19th... You've Spoken, And We've Listened...

We've been touched by everyone's messages of love and support in the last few days, and overwhelmed by the interest in our new 'All Good Things...' rarities collection.

Your interest has been so strong that we've scrapped plans to limit the set to 100 copies, and instead have trebled the production run to 300 signed and numbered copies. We think this is a good compromise between our intention for this to be a very limited release, and making sure that we don't sell out so quickly that those who truly want the set aren't able to get a copy.

'All Good Things... The Unheard Chad & Jeremy' goes on sale during our final full-length tour starting October 10th, and online on November 10th. The price for this four hour, 3CD set packaged in a hardcover photo book will be $80.

We'll be announcing the complete track listing very soon. In the meantime, here's a closer look at some of the contents.

September 15th... All Good Things...

This October sees us embark on our final full-length concert tour. It also sees the release of 'All Good Things... The Unheard Chad & Jeremy' - a new anthology chronicling our story from the sixties to today.

This is C&J as you've never heard us before. Beginning with our first ever live recording in 1963, 'All Good Things...' features four hours of unreleased outtakes, unheard rehearsals, home demos, and rare live performances from the archives.

This 3CD set is limited to only 100 signed and numbered copies, and is packaged in an 8x8" hardcover color photo book of rare and unseen images from across the decades, with two bonus 5x7" photo cards exclusive to this release.

'All Good Things...' is available on our fall tour beginning October 10th, and online from November 10th.

September 15th... October Tour Announcement...

We've long promised in interviews and at signings that if the time ever came when we were considering slowing down, we would let everyone know. That time has come, and October will mark our final full-length American concert tour.

It isn't the end of Chad & Jeremy - we expect to still get together from time to time for special events and shows - but it is the end of the era of month-long concert tours every spring and fall. We both turn 75 this year, and that seems like as good a time as any to put our feet up a bit.

We hope to see you on the road in October, and we thank you all for the love you've shown to us both over all of these incredible years.

With love and gratitude,
Chad Stuart & Jeremy Clyde

July 6th... Special Benefit Concert For Chad's Family...

We can't begin to say how much we appreciate the help of everyone who has donated to help Owen so far, and we can't begin to express how much we appreciate what our friends are doing for Owen at McCabe's in Santa Monica on Sunday, July 31st.

Terry Sylvester, John Wicks and The Records, Chris Montez, Ron Dante, Coco Dolenz, Andrew Sandoval, Rosemarie Butler, John Claude Gummoe of the Cascades and even more folks yet to be announced are performing in a benefit show to raise money for Chad's step son Owen.

For more info, visit Keith Putney Productions or McCabe's website.

Our special thanks and gratitude to Keith Putney and everyone involved in making this happen.

July 6th... Chad's Family Needs Your Help...

In 2012, Chad Stuart's stepson Owen Shelly was diagnosed with pulmonary capillary hemangiomatosis (PCH) which is characterized by an overabundance of capillaries in the lungs and can cause pulmonary hypertension (PH) and heart failure. Owen now has both PH and heart failure which makes the simplest tasks of daily living impossible. The only treatment remaining for his worsening condition is lung transplant.

Owen and his wife Lindsey have three children, Tiler, Lionel, and Lucy, ages 6, 4, and 2. They must now relocate to a major transplant center to place him on a waiting list for a double lung transplant. Owen currently enjoys songwriting, reading, and spending time with his family. After recovering from transplant, he plans to return to Idaho to the Wood River Valley, which he loves.

This April, Owen had to take medical disability from his job in Twin Falls, Idaho at the State Department of Health and Welfare where he worked as a service coordinator for the infant/toddler program. He worked diligently in this position for more than five years while dealing with medical procedures, hospitalizations, and regular appointments in Salt Lake City. Owen was a committed resource to many of the programs clients in the Wood River Valley and surrounding areas.

In 2004, Owens younger brother, Tyler, died from PCH/PH at age 20. Their grandmother also passed away in 2003 from complications from pulmonary hypertension. Owens parents live in Bellevue and Hailey and his sister resides in Boise. Lindseys parents live in Twin Falls, and Corpus Christi, Texas.

Owen is currently hospitalized in San Antonio, TX awaiting a transplant. We are asking our fans to please donate however much you possibly can to help Owen at this time of need.

You can donate today to the Owen Shelly Lung Transplant Fund.

January 18th... RIP David Pierce...

David Pierce, Jeremy's lyricist for over 30 years, died last week in Paris. Dave wrote the lyrics to many later-day Chad & Jeremy classics, including "Zanzibar Sunset" and "Lady Wants A Gentleman"; as well as the words to all of the songs on 'The Bottom Drawer Sessions'. Jeremy has written a few words of remembrance:

My old pal David " Big Dave" Pierce left us this week. The same day as Bowie. As Chad wrote to me, " Two Davids on the same day". It was not unexpected. A series of strokes had left him sadly depleted, stuck in a Paris hospital, devotedly cared for by the wonderful Cristina. When I spoke to him last week, he hardly had the energy to speak. He was desperate to leave and finally did. A blessed release.

We met in the early 80's at a party given by his friend, the jazz singer Annie Ross. An enormous Canadian chap in a cowboy hat. "And what do you do?", I enquired. "I'm a lyricist". Not the usual answer. And so he was, working with the wonderfully talented Rick Jones and his band Meal Ticket. I went round to his place the next day, utterly intrigued. And when he produced an enormous folder stuffed with unused song lyrics and poems, I knew I'd struck gold. I took a few home with me and, using the excuse to give our dog Rags a walk, rushed to the park. I started humming to some words titled Zanzibar Sunset and knew within moments that something wonderful was happening. From then on, as life blew us both in various directions, we wrote in London, Los Angeles, and then finally and most happily, in Paris.

His place in Paris in the then unfashionable 14th district, was exactly where you might imagine a bohemian writer might live. An old factory on two floors stuffed with a chaotic collection of old bullfighting posters, ghastly paintings on velvet, pin up calendars from the 50's, all of it thoroughly unclean with a resident colony of moths. The perfect place to work in fact for two guys whose marriages had fallen apart. At that period I was doing a fair bit of filming in Europe and always got the company to route me back to London via Paris, open return. This was because there would inevitably come a time, usually between a week and ten days, when we would mutually decide that enough was enough and we couldn't stand each other's habits anymore. We were true opposites. The ultimate Odd Couple.

His work lives on, as all art does. Not only in his splendid crime fiction novels, as funny and ironic as he was, but now in our songs. The words always came first, driving the music in totally unexpected directions. Some of the happiest times in my life were spent in his company. Goodbye, old friend.

November 5th... Peter Asher/Chad & Jeremy - A Musical Memoir...

This new multimedia show tells the story of the British Invasion and beyond from the perspective of two legendary duos of the sixties - chronicling the era with classic songs, inside stories, unseen photos, and rare clips.

November 2nd... Special 1980s Sale...

Experience The Eighties this fall with a special sale on Chad & Jeremy's two 1980s era releases: 'Chad Stuart & Jeremy Clyde' - featuring 'Zanzibar Sunset' - and 'In Concert: The Official Bootleg', a fly on the wall recording of C&J's final eighties-era live appearance.

March 13th... "For A While There"...

Here is a brand-new video of "For A While There" shot by LilMarauder Productions during the British Invasion Tour. In concert, this song has previously been a Jeremy solo number, and it is included on Jeremy's new album 'The Bottom Drawer Sessions, No. 1'.

For this tour, Chad agreed to accompany Jeremy on "For A While There", and we feel that Chad has reinvented the song through his intelligent and sensitive accompaniment, turning an already beautiful song into a masterclass in tenderness.

March 11th... Jeremy's Birthday...

Jeremy's birthday is less than two weeks away - on March 22nd. If you would like to send him a card, please mail it to:

Jeremy Clyde

This week we teased an upcoming project on the C&J Facebook page with a picture of a ceramic pig and of a single striped sock. What's the story behind the pig and the sock? The pig is a German good luck pig given to Jeremy on his travels, and the sock is one from Jeremy's favourite pair of socks.

Both are objects that can be found in Jeremy's bottom drawer, alongside a stash of previously unheard songs available this October on 'The Bottom Drawer Sessions, No. 1'. To celebrate Jeremy's first-ever solo album, we've launched a new mini-site - www.bottomdrawersessions.com devoted to the bottom drawer sessions project.

June 7th... Jeremy's D-Day Story...

If you're not a part of our ever-growing Facebook community, you may have missed Jeremy's post yesterday on his father's role in D-Day.

Today is the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings. Jeremy would like to share the story of what his father (pictured here on Jeremy's parents' wedding day in late 1939) was doing during that moment of history as we show our appreciation for the sacrifices made by the greatest generation.

"Seventy years ago today my father, Tommy Clyde, was at the nerve centre of the D-Day operations. Apparently he was particularly skilled at Morse code, and thus found himself ordered to report to the top secret bunker above Portsmouth harbour. He described to me sending the messages to the fleet with all the top brass standing behind him. Some years ago my mother and I decided to try and find where he had been, and were invited to visit the HQ of the whole operation - Southwick House - still in army hands. We were made most welcome and were shown the actual map of northern France that was used by Eisenhower, still in place on the wall, as well as the room where he actually gave the final order. We were unable to visit the bunker itself although we found the outside of the complex from where you could see all of the harbour, exactly as he had described it to me, then absolutely crammed with craft of all kinds."

We are ever-grateful for the efforts of so many millions of men and women in keeping the world free in those trying times.

January 9th... Chad And Jeremy On Phil Everly...

C&J were saddened to hear of the passing of the legendary Phil Everly late last week. Both sent in tributes to a man who shaped their own musical destinies.

Jeremy said:

"I met Phil Everly once in London in the 70's, at dinner with mutual friends. He was humble and charming and very down to earth. He was, of course, a tremendous influence on two young guys with guitars and an ear for harmony. "

"I read yesterday that he said 'Harmony singing requires that you enlarge yourself, not use any kind of suppression. Harmony is the ultimate love'. Beautifully put. Thanks, Phil."

Chad recalled:

"The first time I saw Phil Everly was at the Odeon Theater in Newcastle, England. He and Don had matching suits and guitars and they sang with a polish and precision which impressed the hell out of me. The only other time I met Phil was when a mutual friend took me over to his house in Los Angeles. He was courteous and hospitable and I shall always remember that occasion."

"The Everly Brothers were the biggest and the best duo in pop/rock music and a whole lot of us are grateful for that."

"God speed, Phil. I hope I'll meet up with you on the other side one day."
