June 7th... The British Are Coming Twice More...

We're very happy to confirm two additional dates for the British Invasion tour this September.

On September 9th we will be at the Ridgefield Playhouse in Ridgefield, CT; while on September 10th we will be at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center in Bethlehem, PA.

June 7th... Jeremy's D-Day Story...

If you're not a part of our ever-growing Facebook community, you may have missed Jeremy's post yesterday on his father's role in D-Day.

Today is the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings. Jeremy would like to share the story of what his father (pictured here on Jeremy's parents' wedding day in late 1939) was doing during that moment of history as we show our appreciation for the sacrifices made by the greatest generation.

"Seventy years ago today my father, Tommy Clyde, was at the nerve centre of the D-Day operations. Apparently he was particularly skilled at Morse code, and thus found himself ordered to report to the top secret bunker above Portsmouth harbour. He described to me sending the messages to the fleet with all the top brass standing behind him. Some years ago my mother and I decided to try and find where he had been, and were invited to visit the HQ of the whole operation - Southwick House - still in army hands. We were made most welcome and were shown the actual map of northern France that was used by Eisenhower, still in place on the wall, as well as the room where he actually gave the final order. We were unable to visit the bunker itself although we found the outside of the complex from where you could see all of the harbour, exactly as he had described it to me, then absolutely crammed with craft of all kinds."

We are ever-grateful for the efforts of so many millions of men and women in keeping the world free in those trying times.

January 9th... Chad And Jeremy On Phil Everly...

C&J were saddened to hear of the passing of the legendary Phil Everly late last week. Both sent in tributes to a man who shaped their own musical destinies.

Jeremy said:

"I met Phil Everly once in London in the 70's, at dinner with mutual friends. He was humble and charming and very down to earth. He was, of course, a tremendous influence on two young guys with guitars and an ear for harmony. "

"I read yesterday that he said 'Harmony singing requires that you enlarge yourself, not use any kind of suppression. Harmony is the ultimate love'. Beautifully put. Thanks, Phil."

Chad recalled:

"The first time I saw Phil Everly was at the Odeon Theater in Newcastle, England. He and Don had matching suits and guitars and they sang with a polish and precision which impressed the hell out of me. The only other time I met Phil was when a mutual friend took me over to his house in Los Angeles. He was courteous and hospitable and I shall always remember that occasion."

"The Everly Brothers were the biggest and the best duo in pop/rock music and a whole lot of us are grateful for that."

"God speed, Phil. I hope Ill meet up with you on the other side one day."

August 21st... Wild Fire Update...

A quick update on Chad and the Idaho wildfires: today the fire is 30% contained, and there are hopes for rain in the next day or two. July 31st... It Was Fifty Years Ago Today...

Fifty years ago today... on July 31st, 1963, Chad & Jeremy entered Olympic Studios to record their first ever record - "Yesterday's Gone" - produced by John Barry. All year we've been running a series of photos on our social media sites to celebrate this 50th anniversary, but today's picture is extra special. Below are three shots taken by Gered Mankowitz on that vital day in C&J history - 50 years ago today.

This is the 30th photo in our year-long series celebrating 50 years since the release of C&J's first record. You can see the rest on our Facebook page, our twitter feed, or on tumblr.

July 25th... Chad Speaks With Atlantic City Weekly...

In the build-up to the two NJ shows that are just over a week away, Chad sat down for a chat with the nice folks at Atlantic City Weekly. You can read it here.

For the record, since proclaiming "Rien" as the final album, he has started to talk about making yet one more, and since declaring February as his retirement date, he has pushed that out even further. We think he's trying to set a new record for reneging on retirement announcements!

July 24th... Rien Ne Va Plus Details...

Rien Ne Va Plus

Chad & Jeremy's new album for 2013.

Rien Ne Va Plus is released AUGUST 4th 2013 to celebrate the anniversaries of two big events in the Chad & Jeremy story. This summer marks the 10th anniversary of Chad & Jeremy's 21st century reunion, and the 50th anniversary of their first studio recording session in 1963.

"Rien Ne Va Plus", loosely translated, is a French saying for "the die is cast". It is often used to indicate that no more bets can be accepted on the spinning roulette wheel. All bets are in on the first decade of C&J's reunion, and Chad & Jeremy's new album rewards you with the jackpot.

Rien Ne Va Plus collects personal favorites from the last decade, including material from the extremely rare out-of-print "tour CDs", and brand new recordings such as "The Water Is Wide" and a new studio version of the 1983 classic "Zanzibar Sunset".

We hope you enjoy it as much as we've enjoyed entertaining you for these last ten, and these last fifty, years.

SONGS INCLUDE: Zanzibar Sunset/The Way You Look Tonight/Hey Baby/In Love Again/Lady Wants A Gentleman/Everyone's Gone To The Moon/The Water Is Wide/What's The Score?/Homeward Bound/I'll Be Back/Rien Ne Va Plus/Purple Haze

STARTING IN AUGUST, THE ALBUM WILL BE AVAILABLE AT The Official Chad & Jeremy Online Shop.

July 22nd... Laredo Episode on Encore Westerns...

Tomorrow, July 23rd, at 2:02PM Eastern time (and Western time, naturally!) Encore Westerns will play "That's No Way Thataway", the episode of Western series Laredo featuring Chad & Jeremy. This episode - airing in early 1966 - was intended as a pilot for a TV series starring Chad & Jeremy as members of a British theatrical company stranded in the old west. Sadly, plans for the pilot were stranded in the Wild West of Hollywood, and nothing further came of the idea.

Encore Westerns is one the Starz cable/satellite network premium channels. Check your local listings for details.

April 10th... A Special Thank You From Jeremy...

"To all the lovely people who took the time and trouble to send those birthday cards and messages.....

Truly, it came as a huge surprise when an enormous box arrived from Jason, filled with an astonishing amount of cards. Some names I recognised, others I daresay I will get to meet and thank in person on the next tour in the fall.

You see, when Chad & I finish our dates, pack away the guitars and return to what might be called Real Life, I go back to another country and another persona where the world of Chad & Jeremy is only known to a few students of the 1960's who very occasionally pitch up at a stage door with an album or two. And that's it, until the next tour when suddenly it's back to "and Jeremy " again. The result is that I tend to forget that there are lovely people like your good selves who care enough to think of me and my Big Day. It is all very amazing and humbling to know that a chap has so many friends in faraway places.

So, thanks for thinking and - by the way - it was a terrific birthday here. Actually, more like a birthweek, as it went on and on as friends & family used the whole business as an excuse to have yet more fun. Which we duly did.

So, till the autumn, when I shall no doubt see some of you....

Looking forward to it all,
Love & thanks,
Jeremy.

C&J look forward to seeing everyone they can during their 2013 tours. Keep a look out for more C&J tour dates for 2013...

March 20th... Happy Birthday Jeremy...

This Friday, March 22nd, Jeremy turns 72. We'd like to thank everyone for the cards and birthday wishes which have been sent to him, and share another picture from the Clyde Family Album. Here's Jeremy listening very attentively to something or other circa 1942.

This picture is the eleventh of fifty photos in the '50 For 50' series. '50 For 50' is a special photo retrospective we've launched on our social media sites this year to celebrate fifty years since the release of C&J's first record in 1963.

Every Wednesday you can see a new picture celebrating the anniversary on C&J's Facebook, tumblr, or twitter pages.

February 6th... 50 For 50 - A Reminder...

We're a tenth of the way finished with the special photo retrospective we've launched on the social media sites this year to celebrate fifty years since the release of C&J's first record in 1963.

Every Wednesday you can see a new picture celebrating the anniversary on C&J's Facebook, tumblr, or twitter pages.

We hope you enjoy it.

February 6th... Listen Again To Jeremy Clyde...

Jeremy features in a couple of shows that were rebroadcast on BBC Radio 4 Extra over the weekend, and which can still be heard over the internet via the 'listen again' feature during this week.

Firstly, the most recent episode of Alexander Armstrong's Radio Heroes featured the Raffles episode "A Trap To Catch A Cracksman" amongst its three hours of fun. It can be heard here until Saturday.

Secondly, Jeremy has a role in "The Sound Of Fury" - about British rock star Billy Fury. It can he heard here until Sunday.

January 29th... The Ark In The Guardian Newspaper...

Today (a mere 45 years after its release) Chad & Jeremy's final 1960s album - The Ark - is reviewed in The Guardian newspaper in the UK as part of a series on hidden musical treasures. Author Alex Petridis offers a distinctly British and pro-psychedelic perspective on C&J's music - quite different from anything you will read elsewhere.

You can read the review here.

January 9th... Two New Ways To Connect With C&J...

We're starting the new year with a few new ways to share with you. There is now an official C&J twitter feed - look for it at @ChadAndJeremy - and for those of you on the Tumblr blogging site, we now have a page on it - officialchadandjeremy.tumblr.com

Meanwhile on Facebook (and Tumblr, and Twitter for that matter), we've started a new photo series called "50 For 50", celebrating fifty years since the release of the first C&J record in 1963. Every Wednesday we'll upload something new.

January 4th... Chad's New Year's Message...

All my best wishes to all the good people I've met on the road over the years. My new year's resolution is to measure up to Ann Curry's challenge and perform as many acts of kindness as I possibly can, to honor the memory of the children and teachers at Sandy Hook. I'm sure you're all going to do the same. When we tour again this Spring, I hope we can include some fund raisers. I'm lucky enough to get paid for singing, playing and making people laugh, so the very least I can do is help to raise money for good causes.

One more thing. Let's all deluge our senators and congressmen with letters and e-mails and shame them into actually doing something about assault weapons. Hunters don't use them. Target shooters don't use them. If people have the overwhelming urge to fire umpteen rounds a minute, then perhaps they should join a gun club and shoot the thing in the relative safety of a firing range. It's time for a serious national debate about the second amendment and what it really means/ It was not designed for assault weapons, that's for sure.

All the best,
Chad Stuart
