April 30th...Just a quick reminder that several of C&J's gigs this year also feature PETER & GORDON. This marks the first time that C&J and Peter & Gordon have ever performed together. Confirmed dates so far are 2 May at the Northfork Theatre and 19 July at the Cannery Casino.
April 17th...Time for C&J's Spring Tour. April 16th...We've sold out of the 2007 tour souvenir CD, but fear not - the new 'Arkeology' CD is on its way very very soon.
March 12th...There are some big changes afoot, part of which is that the online shop will no longer be called 'Electric Paintbox', but will be called the Online Shop (original, huh?). We're also simplifying navigation and working on adding several extras and new ways to enjoy the world of C&J. Trust me, you're going to love it. March 5th...All of us in the C&J family would like to send our deepest condolences to the friends and family of Dave Clark Five singer Mike Smith, who passed away this week. The Dave Clark Five will be inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame this year, and we are heartbroken that Mike did not make it to see that day. February 19th...It's tour time again. November 19th...we're entering the home stretch in the completion of several projects in 2008. First, a greatest hits album entitled Arkeology will be released both as a CD and as a digital download. In the fall, the new LP will at last be completed, and the long-awaited C&J documentary will debut. There are exciting times to come! We hope everyone has a happy holiday season and that 2008 will be something truly special for you and for us. August 27th...Its tour time again - here's the list of C&J's September and October shows. July 11th..."Called To Account", a play featuring Jeremy about the decision to go the war in Iraq, will be broadcast on BBC Radio 4 at 2:30PM UK time (that's 9:30AM EDT) on Saturday the 14th. It will also be available streamed on the BBC website, and via their Listen Again feature for seven days after. Visit Radio 4 to listen. June 25th...Big news today - C&J will be filming a DVD at their newly confirmed date at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center on September 27th. This is sure to be a very special evening, not just because of the fact it is being filmed, but because the TBPAC is one of the most prestigious venues in the Southeast - as well as being in your webmaster's home town! If you're anywhere within reason, be a part of history and be a part of this show. June 25th...A very special podcast is now online, featuring both of the duo (in Jeremy's first podcast) talking about their recent dates, their upcoming recording, and record players for automobiles. Its all there in a massive 40 minute conversation with the lads. June 14th...Time for a new podcast - this time we talk about America, Britain, tomorrow's Philipines dates, and all sorts of other things, little and big. Its a bit controversial, but what is life without a little controversy? There is also a new editorial keeping you up to date on the newest goings on with the duo. June 14th...C&J return to the Ram's Head in Annapolis on October 6th. May 24th...Another video added to the Collector's Corner - this time "The Truth Often Hurts The Heart" from the Patty Duke Show in 1965. May 18th...To the Philipines and Beyond: C&J's summer schedule, and selected fall dates.
May 18th...a seven minute promo video has been added to the Concert Schedule page. The video is produced by Chris Walsh and showcases some of the footage shot for Caswell Cooke's coming documentaty, as well as featuring archival material galore. May 18th...today marks the launch of a new series of Podcasts. These 10-20 minute chats with one or other of the duo will hopefully be a regular part of C&J.com. If you like them, why not drop us a line and let us know. May 18th...please don't forget our Bulletin Board. That's not just an invitation but also a personal admonition to ourselves for neglecting it for so long. I'd really like to get things back into gear over there, so if you want to talk to me and other C&J fans about everything from Chad's hair to Tony Blair (with a bit of absolutely anything else thrown in), then stop by. We'll be waiting for you. May 17th...huge changes to the Collector's Corner with (count 'em) FIVE new video clips we've uploaded to YouTube. They include "Yesterday's Gone", "Willow Weep For Me", "Distant Shores" (a rare colour clip, not the oft-seen 'Hullabaloo' one), "The Cruel War", and the music video for "Bite The Bullet". Available online and at C&J's shows is the 2007 Tour CD, with three new songs - "When Your Love Has Gone", "I'm In Love Again", and an instrumental version of "Purple Haze". The version of "Rest In Peace" released here is brand new, and "September In The Rain" is featured in an alternate mix with new overdubs.
March 9th...Just a reminder of this month's tour schedule..
March 8th...The Chad & Jeremy Story is a film by Caswell Cooke Productions chronicling the life story of the most underrated pop group of the 1960s. I think you know who I mean! Filming began this week when Caswell and his crew graciously came to me rather than throwing me on a plane or something (might be to do with the difference between the weather in Rhode Island and in my home of Florida). This film is going to be fantastic - they shot some great collages of stuff, as well as scanning a fairly large amount of material to use on screen in various ways. For reasons best known to themselves, they also interviewed yours truly, thank God for widescreen. They will be spending four days with the lads later this month, and I expect the interviews they get to be both the best and most comprehensive ever seen. March 7th...The format of the "Message From Chad & Jeremy" page is changing for the best. Instead of being reliant on the busy schedules of the two of them, the column (now retitled "Editorial") will largely be written by me. Articles will now be updated quarterly, and the new one will be up tomorrow. March 7th..."Hey, hey, hey, babe - I'm on the road again." Jeremy is in the USA, and they have taken the drive down from the airport to South Carolina. They'll be touring, doing radio and tv appearances, and all sorts of fun things for the next month. The first two shows confirmed for September have also been added to the site. Wish the boys luck, and be sure to go to see them if they end up in your town. February 18th...Two late additions to the concert schedule see C&J visit Westerly, RI on the 23rd, and play at the Dutch Apple in Lancaster, PA on the 12th (click on name of venue for venue's website).
February 14th... A Very Happy Valentine's Day, unless of course you've waited to buy CHAD STUART & JEREMY CLYDE 2006, last year's exclusive concert CD. That disc has now sold out at the Electric Paintbox, and is no longer available. Look for the 2007 CD at shows and on the website in the Spring. February 2nd...Due to circumstances beyond C&J's control, the Lancaster, PA date at the American Music Theatre on 7th March has been regrettably cancelled. January 23rd...Chad and Jeremy start the Spring off in style with the following gigs scheduled for March, as well as confirming their return to the Philippines in the summer (click on name of venue for venue's website).
January 23rd...Although it is 2007 already (the fifth year of c&j.net!), last year's Concert CD is still available to be ordered at Electric Paintbox for a limited time for only $14.95. The 2005 Acoustic Set CD is now out of print and no longer available, although due to your requests we are looking into ways to put the material from both 2005's CD and 2004's CD back into print.
January 23rd...Sadly, it is quite likely that one of the dates on the Pollstar concert listings may have to be moved back to the fall. This date is the 9th of March at the Ukranian American Cultural Center in Whippany, New Jersey. Apologies to any disappointed fans, hopefully C&J will be in your neighborhood again very soon.
