Live on the Gene Pitney Tour, 1966latest news...

DON'T FORGET TO VISIT C&J'S MYSPACE PAGE!

December 23rd... Merry Christmas from two continents...

From Chad in Sun Valley and from Jeremy in London a sincere Merry Christmas to you and your family.

May all of your wishes and dreams come true for 2010. And we hope to see you on the road when we start touring again in the spring.

December 23rd... Last Pre-Christmas Chance For A "Merry Christmas From Sun Valley".

Yes, it will still be available after December 25th. But we'll be the first to admit that Christmas music doesn't have quite the same glow after the turkey (don't tell Chad you're having turkey!) is gone, the presents are unwrapped, and the wonderful memories are already made.

So make your own 2009 Christmas memories with C&J's "Merry Christmas From Sun Valley" before it is too late, because Christmas 2010 is a whole 368 days away!

Get it at our digital store, right here.

December 15th... Three Kings On WIBG!...

C&J's "We Three Kings" can be heard today at 12:30PM EST on Ed Hurst's Steel Pier Radio Show on 1020 WIBG Atlantic City (also heard throughout Philadelphia and the tri-state area). C&J have also recorded a Christmas message (which will sound slightly familiar, but different, to those of you who are keen website readers/listeners) which we have sent to the show.

We are especially grateful to Ed Hurst and to show's producer Don P. Hurley for taking the time to play this selection from "Merry Christmas From Sun Valley", especially seeing as the focus of today's program is actually the hits of the summer of 1971 - and "We Three Kings" is anything BUT a hit of 1971!

Merry Christmas to Ed, Don, everyone at WIBG, and to all the listeners of the Steel Pier Radio Show.

To listen, tune in locally to 1020 WIBG Atlantic City at 12:30PM EST Tuesday December 15th, click here to listen online, or visit their website.

SPECIAL NOTE: FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO MISS IT, THIS PROGRAM WILL BE REBROADCAST ON SATURDAY DECEMBER 19TH FROM 4-5PM EST.

December 11th... Last Chance For Christmas Gifts...

Today marks 2 weeks until Christmas, and that means time is running out for the perfect holiday gift.

May we suggest a signed CD from Chad & Jeremy's Official Online Shop?

There you will find signed copies of ARK-eology, you can explore their 1980s releases, or you can pick up any one of their classic 1960s Columbia Records albums.

Chad's book "The Ballymara Flood" and the DVD or CD of C&J's 2003 appearance at the Pop Rock Reunion Concert (alongside Peter Noone, Mark Lindsay and the Buckinghams, Tommy James and the Shondells, and other famous fab acts) are also available autographed at our shop.

And don't forget to get into that holiday mood with the new digital download release - "Merry Christmas From Sun Valley", available for $1.99 at C&J's Digital Store, on our MySpace Page, or at the MyStore tab of our page on Facebook®.

"Merry Christmas From Sun Valley" features six classic Christmas carols done the C&J way.

December 10th... MySpace 100000...

On behalf of Beth Stuart Baker, admin of C&J's MySpace page, and everyone else in the C&J team, we want to thank you for your support of C&J on MySpace, as tonight at 8:30 MST we crossed over the 100,000 hit mark on C&J's MySpace page. A special thanks to Caswell Cooke, C&J's Press Agent, who maintained the page from mid-2007 to earlier this year before Beth (who originally founded the page in early 2006) resumed the role of administrator.

Click here to see a screen capture of our 100,000th page view.

If you'd like to join C&J on MySpace, you can do it right here. Beth also administers our all-new Facebook Fan Page, which can be found right here.

Oh, and don't forget that you can hear Beth's lovely voice singing "Oh Little Town Of Bethlehem" on C&J's latest release - Merry Christmas From Sun Valley.

December 10th... Happy Birthday, Chad!

A very happy birthday today to our very own David Stuart Chadwick, aka Chad Stuart. Wasn't he cute as a youngster?

December 10th... Photo Updates Past And Present.

We've got two brand new photo spreads today in our Special Features section, one from October's concert at the Sheldon Concert Hall in St. Louis, and another that is a bit overdue - pictures from a show in the summer of 1967!

The page on C&J's Sheldon Show is dedicated to the very hard work of Janet Young, a fan who played a big role in helping C&J's concert there be a success.

The images from the 1967 Concert are courtesy of Paula, a fan who has rediscovered C&J after a very long time away. Welcome back!

December 9th... C&J's All-New Facebook Fan Page.

We're very pleased to announce that we're on the move at Facebook, changing over from the previous "Group Page" to a "Fan Page", where we can add all sorts of new features, including featuring our new Nimbit player right there on Facebook via the "MyStore" tab.

We're going to be inviting everyone who is a member of our group page to switch over to the all new "Fan Page", where all future updates and additional content will be found. If you are a member of the old "group" you will still have to join the new "Fan Page", unfortunately the transition is not an automatic process.

You can join our new Facebook Fan Page right here.

December 9th... Yahoo Problems.

A note specifically for those of you who are members of our Yahoo! Group (located here), Yahoo! is suffering some sort of problem where things are going missing or not being delivered to mailboxes right now. It has happened at least three times in the last couple of days.

Today, the Yahoo! Groups system crashed for a short time, so messages might have been lost at that time. I'm sure it is just a temporary problem, but I'd like to ask for everyone's patience, and I'm sorry for the inconvenience!

UPDATE: THESE PROBLEMS WERE RELATED TO AN OUTAGE AT YAHOO, AND HAVE NOW SEEMINGLY RESOLVED THEMSELVES.

December 4th... Brand New Digital Download Release: Merry Christmas From Sun Valley.

Our Christmas surprise to you is a new six song mini-album of classic Christmas carols, featuring fan favorite "We Three Kings" and FOUR ALL-NEW RECORDINGS, including "Silent Night", "Adeste Fideles", "Gabriel's Message", and a very special version of "Oh Little Town Of Bethlehem" sung by Chad's daughter Beth Stuart Baker. Also included is Chad's instrumental mandolin take on "Jesu, Joy Of Man's Desiring".

This new release is exclusively available on C&J's Nimbit digital player as an mp3 download album - to buy it visit our Digital Store or anywhere else you find C&J's Nimbit Player. In the spirit of the season, we've decided to offer it at the low price of $1.99 as our present to you.

We've added a whole host of extras, including downloadable cover art and an exclusive audio message from C&J, onto the discography entry for Merry Christmas From Sun Valley - just for you to enjoy.

December 4th... Download Your 'Merry Christmas From Sun Valley" CD Cover Art.

For those of you who like to make your own CDs of your mp3 downloads, we've made a full-sized front cover sleeve available for download. You can find it on our discography entry for Merry Christmas From Sun Valley.

December 4th... Exclusive: Behind The Scenes Of The Christmas Project.

Don't miss C&J's Christmas Greeting, and a behind the scenes look at the new Christmas release, available as a free audio download on our discography entry for Merry Christmas From Sun Valley, or download it direct right here.

November 26th... Pop Rock Reunion On Black Friday.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in the USA. Tomorrow marks the beginning of the Christmas shopping season, and it is time to think of Christmas presents for that C&J fan (or yourself!) in your life. What better than a copy of 60's Pop Rock Reunion Live! on CD or DVD?

This out of print release is the first offering in the Official Online Shop's new Collectibles Section. It is the concert and PBS Special that started it all back in August of 2003, featuring 2 Chad & Jeremy tracks amongst a veritable who's who of 1960s Pop Rock artists. This is the first time we've ever offered the concert after years of requests - and we only have it in limited quantities either as a signed CD or signed DVD. So stuff your stocking with a Pop Rock Reunion disc while you still can!

November 18th... Chad & Jeremy are now on NIMBIT.

NIMBIT is an mp3 sales service, similar to iTunes or Amazon MP3, but with one big advantage. Using NIMBIT's special software, we can upload our music directly onto webpages, MySpace, and soon onto Facebook for purchase without you ever having to leave the page you are visiting.

For now, we're using NIMBIT as a way to add to our existing mp3 services - you will still be able to purchase ARK-eology on MP3 through iTunes, CD Baby, Amazon mp3, and others - but the possibilities in the future with NIMBIT are unlimited. We hope to show you some of those possibilities very soon!

The future is here, and it has a funny sounding name! Visit Chad & Jeremy's Official Website or MySpace Site to see the NIMBIT player in action. Facebook will follow very soon.

November 10th... C&J's next shows are in the spring, but there's lots to come before then...

Tonight's gig in California marked the final show of this year's touring schedule, and indeed it is the final show scheduled for a few months as C&J plan on taking the winter off of touring to concentrate on completing their new album "Zanzibar Sunset".

But don't let that "break" fool you. Just because there is a break in the concert schedule, that doesn't mean that our activity is on hold as well. There is plenty going on in the meantime, so be sure not to drift too far from your computer screens between now and then for the latest updates and more at chadandjeremy.com, because we have a whole lot of special surprises in store on several different fronts.

Last night Chad confirmed the news regarding a major event that is scheduled to tie in with their appearance in Manhattan at the BB King Blues Club on October 28th.

At 12:30 lunchtime on October 28th, Chad & Jeremy will be making an in store appearance courtesy of TBO Records at the legendary J&R Music & Computer World at Park Row in New York. C&J will be performing a free 15 minute mini-concert and signing copies of their ARK-eology CD. If you're in the NYC area you DO NOT want to miss this - either just to say hello, or ideally as the perfect prelude to your evening with Chad & Jeremy. Who said life wasn't perfect?

The interview is about 15 minutes long, and they chat about everything from Ember records to TV appearances to ARK-eology to their plans for NYC at the end of the month.

October 2nd... Yesterday WILL be Back in 2010...

Today Caswell Cooke Productions announces that due to unforseen circumstances beyond their control, the television premiere of Yesterday's Back: The Chad & Jeremy Story scheduled for October 7th on RI-PBS, has been temporarily postponed. The show and its related DVD release will instead debut some time in early 2010. Producer Caswell Cooke says: "This delay gives us a chance to incorporate additional newly discovered material and upgraded footage into the program". Three years in the making, Yesterday's Back is an hour long intimate look into the lives of Chad Stuart & Jeremy Clyde from their beginnings to the present day. A nationwide DVD release is planned after its television debut, now set for some time next year. It is an independent film made by Caswell Cooke Productions.

September 18th... Legendary session drummer passes away...

All of us would like to send out our condolences to the family of Bobby Graham, who passed away this week after a fight with stomach cancer at the age of 69. This famous session drummer was the percussive force behind C&J's first two UK singles - "Yesterday's Gone" and "Like I Love You Today". Amongst his myriad other credits, Bobby was a member of the session band dubbed 'The John Barry Seven' who played on C&J's earliest recordings.

Bobby was a member of Joe Brown and his Bruvvers, who had a number of big hits in the early 1960s UK charts, but is most famous for being 'the man who turned down the Beatles' (or so the legend goes) in rejecting Brian Epstein's offer to join the group in June of 1962 as they sought a replacement for Pete Best, and for playing on 13 number one records in his unbelievable career as a session musician. In recent years the controversial claim has even come to light that Bobby played on many major hits of the Dave Clark Five, a claim backed up by several contemporary observers but denied by Dave Clark himself.

Click on the below picture (taken during an August 1963 Ember Records launch party - that's John Barry on the left and Bobby on the right) to visit Bobby's website and explore his amazing career.

An obituary with more details of his career was published on www.spinner.com

August 17th... Following the death of guitar legend and multi-track pioneer Les Paul, Chad says farewell to a musical inspiration...

Les Paul is the the man who not only basically invented the modern electric guitar, but also basically invented modern multi-track recording techniques. Without Les Paul there would never have been a Chad & Jeremy, because there would never have been a rock 'n' roll.

Les Paul died on Thursday, August 13th at the age of 94 in White Plains, New York. Chad remembers the inspiration that Les Paul was to an entire generation.

"In the days of my youth, Les Paul and Mary Ford’s “How High The Moon” was a wake up call for me (and all the other multi-track maniacs out there). It was a tour de force, especially when you consider the relatively primitive way it was done. His legacy is huge. Electric guitars in general and the Gibson Les Paul in particular, multi-track recording with all its infinite possibilities – we owe it all to Lester, God bless him. What a visionary he was. When I switch on my 16 TR digital recorders (one for instruments and one for vocals), I shall whisper a heartfelt thank you to the man who started it all."

August 11th... Viva Las Vegas! While C&J enjoy their well deserved summer-break, time is running out for you to see them this fall! Here's a timely reminder that C&J's fall tour starts in one month from today. On the 11th and 12th of September they play the East Side Cannery Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV. On the 15th they'll be in Northampton, MA at the Iron Horse Music Hall, and the next day they finish their September leg of the fall tour with a show in Fall River, MA at the Narrows Center For The Arts. Please follow the links to the venue's websites for more details.

August 4th... Official details of new CD for 2010... C&J's all-new CD - provisionally titled Zanzibar Sunset - finally has an official release date of early 2010.

To give the fans an insight into how these sorts of decisions are made from both an artistic and commercial standpoint, and also to clarify the swirl of confusion that seems to be circulating recently regarding the next C&J CD, Chad & Jeremy and TBO Records have issued this press statement which can be read here. We hope this will also help to give fans a greater glimpse of what it is like for an independent record label to make an album in the current marketplace. As usual, for all the official and accurate news on all things C&J, remember that the one place to come is right here. 2010 UPDATE: A NEW YEAR HAS BROUGHT NEW PLANS, AND RATHER THAN RUSH TO RECORD AND RELEASE SOMETHING SIMPLY BASED ON STATEMENTS BY A PRESS AGENT OR IN AN OLD PRESS RELEASE, C&J HAVE DECIDED TO RELEASE THEIR NEW STUDIO PROJECT ONLY WHEN THEY ARE COMPLETELY HAPPY WITH IT. SINCE THIS 2009 PRESS RELEASE, THEY HAVE ISSUED TWO LIMITED EDITION DIGITAL RELEASES, AND ARE LOOKING AT PUTTING OUT EVEN MORE MUSIC WHILE THE RECORDING OF THE NEW ALBUM CONTINUES. THEY WILL NOT ANNOUNCE ANY RELEASE DATE UNTIL THEY ARE MUCH FURTHER ALONG IN THE RECORDING PROCESS.

July 28th... C&J's planned appearance at the Niagra Fallsview Casino on September 19th has been officially confirmed as cancelled today. This was an expected move following the sudden death of Gordon Waller, as the gig was originally scheduled as part of their "Abbey Road Memories" concert featuring Peter & Gordon and Terry Sylvester of the Hollies. Our condolences go out to Gordon's family at this sad time.

July 23rd... Caswell Cooke Productions tell us today that they now have a broadcast date for the World Premiere of "Yesterday's Back" - their new documentary on C&J. The premiere will be on October 7th, 2009 at 10PM EST on PBS Rhode Island. Although the documentary is so far only set to air in Rhode Island, other stations are hoped to follow in the coming months. A DVD release is expected some time after the broadcast but no firm date has been announced. For the latest news on the project keep watch here and also on Chad & Jeremy's MySpace page, which is run by documentary producer Caswell Cooke, Jr.

July 19th... Internet radio tribute to Gordon Waller tomorrow night:

On Monday July 20, 2009 from 4 to 6 PM (PDT) - that's 7PM on the East Coast and Midnight in the UK - a good friend of the site - long-term fan and record producer Andrew Sandoval's Internet radio program "Come To The Sunshine" will pay tribute to the music, voice and memory of Gordon Waller. The show will feature vintage interviews, rare singles, live recordings and rarities. Andrew hopes that all fans and friends of Peter & Gordon might give the show a listen.

It is free and no sign-up is required to listen at www.luxuriamusic.com.

The show is not archived or podcast, but will repeat on Sunday July 26, 2009 at 7AM (PDT).

July 18th... C&J say farewell to Gordon Waller...

"Jeremy and I were saddened to hear the news of Gordon’s passing. I talked to Jeremy on the phone and we reminisced about our scuffling days in London in the early sixties, late nights at the Pickwick Club, television shows and screaming fans. Gordon could sing the socks off all of us and despite his failing health, he kept his vocal chops to the end. We played a few dates with P&G last year and were looking forward to another one at Niagara Falls on September 19."

"Our condolences go out to his family and to Peter as well. He will be sorely missed."

Chad Stuart

July 17th... It is with heavy heart that we say goodbye to another 1960s British Invasion legend - Gordon Waller of Peter & Gordon. Gordon passed away last night aged 64. C&J were due to appear on the bill with Peter & Gordon alongside Terry Sylvester at the Niagra Fallsview Casino in Ontario, Canada in under three months on 19th September during their Abbey Road Memories event. It is unknown what shape that show will now take.
Goodbye Gordon, thank you for everything.

June 12th... Web Store Update... We've had a lot of questions about the webstore, and we're pleased to announce that it will be back in a bit after a longer than planned absence. Please do be patient with us as we get things just-so behind the scenes. We're still working out some of the details, but we just want to get everything to be the best it can possibly be for you, and sometimes that takes a while. The things that won't be apparent at first, but that we're cooking up behind the scenes for later, will make your heads spin!

June 12th... Those Lazy Hazy Crazy Days Of Summer... While the rest of you sit around and sip your fresh iced tea, spare a thought for poor Chad. Poor Chad is a slave to his mixers. A prisoner to his multitracks. A victim of his own overdubs. The good news is that this seclusion means work continues at a suprisingly rapid speed on the 'next' big album after ARK-eology, which continues to do brisk business. Hopefully we'll have some other exciting announcements for you here very soon too, but lets not get ahead of ourselves...

April 20th... C&J HELD OVER BY POPULAR DEMAND! That's right, C&J are now going on the road a bit longer than planned. They've added quite a few dates for early May (only a few weeks away now) in the tri-state area, plus a gig in Illinois to close out the Spring on May 9th. Check out the "Concert Shedule" on the left to see where you can see them!

March 24th... Starting tomorrow, C&J at last do a comprehensive tour of California. Six cities in eight days, with details in the "Concert Schedule" sidebar on your left.

February 25th... After another private event, C&J's mini-tour of Florida kicks off properly tomorrow night.

January 17th... Tonight the 2009 touring begins...sort of. The duo plays a private event before starting off properly on the 23rd. See the "Concert Schedule" sidebar for more details.

December 31st...All of us here hope you had a happy holiday, and would like to wish all of you a Happy New Year. Please have a safe one.

Due to heavy demand, we're not able to offer this directly from the Online Store, and we can't offer signed copies right now. On the bright side, that is yet another incentive to go and meet them at a show.

October 8th...ARKEOLOGY DETAILS... We've had a lot of questions about the new CD, so TBO Records has kindly provided us with the exclusive details on this new release. Click here to read all about this amazing CD - just the first C&J project TBO plans to release.

September 26th...ARKEOLOGY IS COMING... October 21st is the official launch date for the newest and greatest addition to the C&J canon. But if you stay tuned during the next couple of weeks we will have an extra special surprise for everyone. It has been a long wait, but it is well worth it.
