CHAD RECALLS:

I don't recall much about the making of this LP, except that we were in New York for the first time and everything was big and strange and loud and fast! Our producer was Jimmy Haskell, a sweet man and a fine musician, but no match for events behind the scenes. It was about this time that we first began to suspect that our relationship with our record company was not going to last.

Lou Guarino, the president of the label was quite a character. I remember sitting up in my hotel room with an electric keyboard and reams of score paper, working feverishly on charts for the next day's session. Lou would check on me from time to time, obviously concerned for my sanity. "Are you okay, kid?" he would ask. "Can I get you anything?"

As history records, we did leave the label, signing with Columbia Records.

WHERE TO FIND IT:

The best source for these tracks is an out-of-print German CD, on Repertoire Records, called Sing For You/Second Album, which includes every World Artists master take except "Only for the Young", the instrumental from the Yesterday's Gone LP.

An Electric Paintbox production.
